Hall for Cornwall reveals £20m refurbishment plan
Roscoe are delighted to be working with Hall for Cornwall throughout March 2018, as Lauren will be joining the team for a few weeks to help them deliver their marketing campaigns for the summer season.
Working with their Head of Marketing, Charlotte Somers, we'll be delivering their social, digital and print requirements to help them keep business running as usual before they shutter ahead of their planned refurbishment.
Hall for Cornwall announced a £20m refurbishment plan earlier this year after securing the final piece of funding needed to make their plans a reality. The Truro arts centre has already been given planning permission for the project, part of which will remodel and increase the venue’s auditorium to enable it to host major touring productions.
Hall For Cornwall will close for 20 months on 2 June 2018, for an ambitious refurbishment of the theatre, seeking to safeguard the heritage of the building and transform the venue into a dynamic and high-quality environment that will give the people of Cornwall access to the best performing arts to rival any city in the country.
Charlotte Somers, Head of Marketing and Communications at Hall for Cornwall, said: "After six years of planning, we are thrilled that funding is now in place to move forward with this exciting project that will see the auditorium increase in size, enabling us to attract top West End shows and promote and support creative talent, alongside developing our work with schools and young people. In addition, new cafés and bars, a Heritage Lottery funded project and new digital creative business hub, will combine together to create a venue that will continue to inspire, educate and be enjoyed."
The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership has given £2 million to the scheme, providing the last remaining funding to reach its target.
