Roscoe is 7 - what are my highlights of 2024?

November marks the seventh anniversary of Roscoe Communications. It's been so busy this year and I'm grateful for the opportunities and the trust people regularly put in me for their marketing and communications needs.

I thought it might be a nice idea, as my business chalks up another year, to share the highlights from 2024.

Here is a quick whip through of some of the work I've been delivering this year.

  • Returning to the ever-welcoming Hall for Cornwall, juggling the theatre's show campaigns - including this year's belter of a Christmas panto, Jack and the Beanstalk

  • Finishing up a long contract with Eden Project managing their seasonal marketing campaigns and acting as their interim marketing campaigns manager

  • Being invited to join the team at The Roman Baths in Bath, providing an extra pair of hands to the marketing team

  • working on a huge project to transform the marketing direction for Kings College Taunton, an incredible public school in Somerset

  • meeting Olivier Award-winning producer and director Simon Harvey who is trusting me with the marketing campaign for o-regions 2025 show, White Horse

  • managing the marketing and communications for the inspiring Gardeners' House project in Penzance, bringing this building back to life and celebrating the stories and landscape of our part of Cornwall

  • Telling stories with Scary Little Girls this year - sharing news of the first Mayven in London , selling out Queenagers twice, taking Duffy Beats The Devil to the Minack and celebrating 20 years for Becca as compere at the Glastonbury Big Top

  • Being part of the team bringing about a £15m restoration of the Town Hall on St Mary's, Isles of Scilly - creating a new museum and performing arts venue to the islands.

  • Working with St Austell Brewery on marketing planning and tone of voice for their visitor attraction

  • celebrating Creative Kernow’s 40th birthday and helping to plan their celebrations and media coverage

  • supporting the inaugural Harbour Festival in Redruth, putting together a marketing campaign to help sell tickets and raise the profile of this celebration of theatre

  • offering advice to Cornwall 365 ahead of their new app being launched

  • supporting the London-based Foundation for Jewish Heritage in their work to preserve Jewish built heritage, including the flagship project to rescue the Victorian synagogue in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales.

I'm really lucky to keep being asked to undertake these jobs. No two days are the same and I meet so many brilliant and inspiring people.

Thank you to all who have chosen to work with me this year.
